How DFW Roof Connect LLC collects, uses, shares and protects personal information, and the choices you have.
Who we are
DFW Roof Connect LLC (“DFW Roof Connect,” “we,” “us”) generates homeowner roofing leads and delivers them to roofing contractors in the United States. We do not perform roofing work.
This policy covers two different groups of people: contractors who enquire about or buy our services, and homeowners who submit their details through one of our roofing campaigns.
What we collect
From contractors
- Identifiers — name, company name, business phone, email address
- Commercial information — service areas, the type of roofing work you do, plan and billing records
- Internet activity — pages visited on this site, referring source, approximate location from IP address
- Records of your consent to be contacted, including the date, time and the form you submitted
From homeowners
- Identifiers — name, phone number, email address, property address
- Property and project information — roof age, condition, damage, insurance or storm claim status, the work requested and the timeline
- Internet activity — the campaign, ad or page the enquiry came from
- Recordings or notes from the verification call, where the call is recorded and disclosed at the time
- Records of consent to be contacted, including the exact disclosure shown at submission
How we use it
- To verify a homeowner enquiry and match it to a contractor in that service area
- To deliver leads and operate your account
- To contact you about the service, including by phone, text and email where you consented
- To measure and improve our campaigns and lead quality
- To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations, including retention of telemarketing consent records
How we share it — and what that means for homeowners
If you are a homeowner, we share your enquiry with a roofing contractor so that they can contact you about your roof. That contractor pays us for the lead. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and under similar laws in other states, money changing hands for your information makes this a “sale” of personal information. We tell you plainly rather than hiding it in a definition.
Categories of recipients:
- Roofing contractors — the licensed contractor whose service area matches your property, so they can contact you. We identify the contractor at or before the point you submit your details.
- Service providers — hosting, form processing, telephony and text messaging, email delivery, customer relationship management, payment processing and analytics vendors, each contractually limited to processing data on our behalf.
- Advertising platforms — where we run campaigns and measure their results. Some of this activity may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell contractor business contact information. We have not sold or shared the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.
Your choices
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information — one page, one submission, no account and no identity verification required.
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing. If your browser sends it, we process it automatically and show you a confirmation on the opt-out page.
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
- Get a copy of it, or have it corrected
- Have it deleted, subject to records we must keep by law
- Opt out of targeted advertising, sale or sharing
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To make a request, use our contact form. We respond within 45 days and may extend once where the law allows. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission.
Calls, texts and how to stop them
Where you gave consent, we and the contractor we matched you with may contact you by phone, text or email, including with an automated dialling system or an artificial or prerecorded voice. Consent is never a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply.
You can withdraw consent at any time, by any reasonable means. Replying STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE or OPT OUT to a text will stop messages automatically. You may also simply tell us on a call, send us a message through our contact form, or use the opt-out page. We do not require any particular wording or channel, and we process every request within 10 business days.
Withdrawing consent with us does not automatically withdraw it with a contractor you have separately engaged. Contact them directly as well.
How long we keep it
We keep lead and account records for as long as needed to provide the service and to resolve disputes. Records of telemarketing consent and related call records are retained for at least five years, because federal telemarketing rules require it. Analytics data is retained in aggregate. When a record no longer serves a purpose above, we delete it or de-identify it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and vendor agreements to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is for roofing businesses and adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes affecting how we share personal information will be posted on this page before they take effect.
